Born in Sydney, Australia
Have lived just over half my life in USA (New Jersey, Texas, North Carolina, and California)
Have been involved in IT for all of my working life, with most of that time focused on Computer Networks
Have spent the last 10 years of my career in Corporate Strategy roles (what businesses a company should be in, how resources should be allocated across businesses, market dynamics)
Have four times in my life spent 5 months traveling a continent/country: Australia, Europe, USA, Indochina/SE Asia/India, Antarctica/Chile/Argentina
Have visited 50 countries, some obviously more deeply than others
Married with children
Am currently traveling / consulting
All of life has taught me lessons, including travel

Things I believe

Genetic variation between humans is very small, we are essentially all the same. I would extend this comment to the differences between men and women, which are also small in the big scheme of things.
I believe all humans experience similar emotions
Among the most important rights are life and liberty, and without the former there cannot be the latter.
Among the most important distinctions is the difference between “happiness” / instant pleasure and long-term joy
Joy is a practice every bit as much as physical fitness is
